New Lib Dem newspaper hits the streets

by Lib Dem Team on 9 February, 2017

iain-tabloidWe’d like to thank the hundreds of volunteers who are delivering the latest Lib Dem Cheadle Gazette – especially as the weather isn’t quite ideal for delivery.

The paper – going out to nearly 40,000 homes across Cheadle constituency, has the latest news on the NHS funding crisis, the battle to save our greenbelt, Jane Brophy’s mayoral campaign and much more.

“It takes hundreds of hours to deliver across the constituency, but it’s important that residents have the opportunity to find out what the Lib Dems are doing. Our commitment is to keep in touch all year round and fight for our area.” said Iain.

  1. Robert Cohen says:

Are you delivering to the South Park Estate? Or is it held up here by the hundreds of illegal motorists cutting through each day and e workers vans/cars parked up in Mardale??

    • John Hartley says:

Delivered to my door today, Robert – and presumably the rest of the estate – by the fair hands of Councillors Greenhalgh and Roberts, no less.

  2. Bruce says:

With a name like the Cheadle Gazette I hope you put in prominent print that this is a LibDem party political issue.

  3. Afzal Chaudhri says:

Congratulations, we hope from this we will get all the news that is local and matters to us, the residents.

Perhaps you will consider, getting some adverts to pay for the high costs > printing and delivering ?

    AFZAL

    • Bruce says:

Afzal – this is not a newspaper – it is a political leaflet/propaganda.

Iain – this proves my point – people will actually believe it is a proper newspaper.

      • John Hartley says:

Where does Afzal mention that it’s a newspaper?

Come on, Bruce. I know you take almost every opportunity to have a pop at the Lib Dems but, at least, try to base it on facts, however loosely. It becomes a bit of a laugh otherwise. Must try harder, mate

  4. Jennifer says:

Where in Cheadle is it being delivered? We haven’t seen it on Schools Hill.
