Greater Manchester Police have launched a dedicated taskforce to tackle off-road bikes being driven illegally.
The new team is based in Eccles but will work right across GM.
“Off road bikes have long been a problem in our area, so this is welcome news,” said Cllr Iain Roberts. “The neighbourhood police simply don’t have the resources to effectively tackle the problem, as they can’t act unless they can trace the bikes to an address. This new team is small, but it’s a positive step.”
There’s more information on the GMP website.
