Community Hero Joseph Hibbert from Heald Green

The highlight of yesterday’s Cheadle Area Committee was a Community Hero award to seven year old Joseph Hibbert from Heald Green.

Joseph has been raising money for Manchester Children’s Hospital since he was three years old. He ran a 5K before his 5th birthday and in July this year he climbed Ben Nevis which he completed in 9 hours. It was gale force winds of up to 78 miles an hour with hale and rain. He has raised over £6,000 for this challenge alone to pay for ‘giggle’ doctors at the children’s hospital. To date Joseph has raised over £11,000.

Joseph always pushes himself to help others and has a plan to get more children involved with his next challenge.
