Bruntwood safety railings repaired

by Lib Dem team on 20 December, 2017

Safety barriers at Bruntwood Park are being repaired after Iain spotted that they were rusting through.

The railings, at the bottom of the path from the hotel to the road, are important for safety.

“Council officers acted quickly after we reported the issue,” Iain said. “It’s a small issue, but a potential safety hazard so good to get it sorted.”

    That’s a good job.
Next task for The Council Officers to act quickly on – POTHOLES AND PAVEING.

Agreed – the Lib Dem £100 million investment to improve both of those is in its fourth year of an eight year programme and I’m very glad we’ve been able to lead the way.

I am so please that local issues in SK8 are being dealt with I seriously hope the corroded railings by Cheadle primary will be dealt with soon, I have noticed that although a picture was published with a stone slab by Massey street carpark presenting a serious trip hazard, this is still there, amazing, the litter continues to mount all up ashfield road, pavements crumbling, ,I have noticed block surface drains on Grange park road and the road surface on Danes park road is almost non existence , these are not isolated cases of degraded services around Cheadle, the response to my post on sk8 demonstrated how passionate people are about our environment and the cost of this year’s council tax proposed increases, hopefully we can all work together for improvement in Cheadle and value for money, an issue I feel as council tax payer, we are not

Hi John – if you drop me a line about any specific issues, I’ll chase them up. The Council doesn’t get everything right so as local councillors we have to keep on at it. As I mentioned, money is tight and the council will – even after the tax increase – have less money to spend next year than this year so it’s about finding good ways to work together as a community and get things done.
