by Lib Dem team on 28 February, 2018

The next Cheadle Area Committee meeting is at 6pm on Tuesday 6th March 2018 at Trinity Church, Massie Street, Cheadle.

As always, it’s a public meeting so you’re welcome to come along. It’s also webcast, with the video normally going onto the council website the next day.

On the agenda for the 6th March meeting:

  • A petition from six residents on Charlotte Street asking for residents parking.
  • A petition from 24 residents on Vaudrey Drive asking for residents parking combined with two-hour limited stay parking.
  • Application from All Hallows Church for £90.87 to cover additional equipment for their successful Tuesday morning breakfast cafe.
  • Application from I Love Bramhall/I Love Cheadle Hulme/Friends of Lumb Lane Park for £2000 towards the “Paws and Play in the Park” event on 7th May.
  • There are no planning applications coming to the committee this month
  • There are no current planning appeals, enforcement appeals or enforcement notices in the Cheadle Area.
  • Proposal to create a bridleway (which can be used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders) between Carrs Avenue and Sherborne Road in Cheadle – this would then be maintained by the council.
  • A report on road safety in Stockport
  • Report on money from local developments proposed for play area improvements in Bruntwood Park, Eden Park and Gatley Rec. For example, the developers of the new homes on Stonepail Close contribute £13,734 towards play equipment at Gatley Rec. That money goes into the pot and can be spent once there’s enough.
  • Application for Bruntwood BMX Club to host the fourth annual North Region Championship meeting.

  1. T. Singer says:

Why should ratepayers contribute to a “Paws in the Park” Event?

    • Iain Roberts says:

The council has a small pot of money for community groups and events. We ask any group coming for funding to make the case as to why their event will benefit the community.
