Iain was out on Saturday morning filling three bags with litter from Marchbank Drive and Kingsway around the motorway slip road.
“I saw there was a lot of litter lying around when I delivered our latest leaflet on Friday, so I popped over on Saturday morning and cleared up that section of Kingsway, the path up to Marchbank and the road itself,” said Iain.

Good for you. I often clear litter from the embankment at the front of the South Park Road Estate as people driving (illegally) through our estate are under the misapprehension that our road is a litter bin. The Council are WONDERFUL at sending men regularly to clean up the litter that is thrown out of car windows under the Kingsway bridge. It’s somewhere I won’t do as cars drive so fast from the motorway that I’m scared of being knocked down.
Iain any chance you could remove the sign attached to the lights at Gatley advertising some tile company? You will need scissors as the bind is quite thick.
It has been there months.
Iain you are wonderful person.
Thank you Iain.
thanks! I think there was a missed bin collection and the wind knocked over loads of bins everywhere, I believe the residents picked up quiet a bit.
Well done Ian good work . I’m always picking up litter in the village and footpath between Foxland Road and Hawthorn Road. I despair at the idiocy and ignorance of the perpetrators.
