How come bike thefts are never mentioned in these reports? I had my bike stolen a couple of months ago and I know other people who,ve had bikes stolen in Cheadle recently but they are very rarely mentioned. Some people spend alot of money on their bikes and very often they are worth more money than some cars. What is the reason for this never being mentioned as an issue?

  2. As well as a report of all the crimes taking place, it would be satisfying to read reports stating that some of these parasites had been apprehended-and again when they are sentenced.

I will ask again seeing as my question appears to have been ignored. What is the reason for bike thefts never being mentioned in police reports? Or never even mentioned as an issue for that matter? This is an important issue for some people but is being treated like it doesnt matter, or even exist for that matter. People can get away with nicking bikes as police dont seem to care and there are no cameras on any of the streets in Cheadle, not even in Cheadle village. How do any of us expect to see a reduction in crime when there are no cameras and the streets are dark due to reduced lighting? Thieves can more or less do what they want and get away with it.

Hi Janet – sorry if I missed your question earlier. I don’t know the reason, I’m afraid but I can ask the question. As someone who had several bikes stolen a few years ago, I know what it’s lie!
