Police report, 13th July 2018

Note: there has been a reported shooting at the Village Hotel, Cheadle on Friday afternoon. We do not have more information at this time, but the shooting happened after the Police sent their email below.
From our local Police:
Week commencing 9th – 13th July 2018 there has been 6 residential burglaries and 1 Theft from vehicle crimes in the Cheadle area.
 
We have had 4 residential burglaries over the last few days in Heald Green.
–          Wilmslow Road 12/7/18 14.54pm Offender knocks on the occupants front door with no response. He then smashes the glass panel at the side of the front door before being disturbed by the occupant and making off in a vehicle.
–          Styal Road 12/7/18 11.50am – 12.03pm Offender climbed on the extension roof before climbing through an upstairs unlocked window. Whilst inside he searches the property and takes items until he is confronted by the occupant and leaves in a blue vehicle.  
–          Ainsdale Drive 12/7/18 09.00am – 15.00pm  Offender approaches property and forces front door open with an instrument then steals items and leave.
–          Ashdale Drive 09/07/18 03.25am – 03.40am Offender approaches front door smashes window with a brick, wakes occupants so runs away.
 
There has been 2 more residential burglaries one on the 10th July between the hours of 19.00pm and 04.00am Wensley Road, Cheadle. This offender stole keys he found out the occupants vehicle, tried them in the front door but was unsuccessful and left.
The second was on 12/07/18 at 1am on Radnormere Drive. This offender forced a upvc window open, taking car keys then stealing the vehicle.
 
Theft from Vehicle crimes:
 
Oakwood Avenue, Gatley. 11/7/18 01.15am – 01.30am – 3 offenders steal a set of keys from a vehicle.
Cambridge Road, Gatley. 10/07/18 05.00am – 07.00am – Driver falls asleep in his vehicle leaving it unlocked, the offender steals property and leaves.
 
Travellers on Woodford Recreation Ground:
 
Travellers were issued with a notice and moved yesterday evening from Woodford and relocated to Wilmslow Road, Cheadle. They were issued with a second removal notice instantly which they had to move again by 10am today.
 
Officers have visited the site earlier today and they had not yet left.
 
They were given a final hour warning and an hour later a local sergeant was set to lead a team over to the site with removal vehicles to seize any remaining vehicles.
 
Please be aware that the notices that they have been issued with means that they are not permitted to return to either site for three years. This includes any of their vehicles, so all registrations have been noted and if ANY one of these vehicles is spotted on either site over the next three years they will be seized.
