On this 100th anniversary we remember all those who have fought in wars, and especially those who gave their lives so that we might have ours.
We will be at events through the weekend, and we would like to thank everyone who has been involved in organising events and putting up the displays of poppies and soldiers.

I have just attended the service in Cheadle. Despite the sadness, I feel uplifted. So well organised as usual and a huge turnout.
I echo Robert’s thoughts. My husband & I attended this service for the first time and found it so moving. Well done to all who had a hand in it.
I agree with Robert, good to see so many young people attending!
