I was pleased to see that Northern proudly announced the arrival of new rolling stock on it’s Manchester to Preston line via Bolton.
So I took the opportunity to write to Northern congratulating them but asking where is the return to the pre-May 2018 timetable we were promised on the Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Airport line via Gatley.
The rolling stock was two years late, we do not want this delay on our line. The previous promise was to improve the service by November 2018 but that came and went with improvement.

I take it you did not get a reply to your letter? If so what did they say ?
Hello Mr Kenny, you are absolutely right, so far no response. Silence is no golden on this matter so, will write again this week.
Northern has the classic arrogance of an incompetent private company who are backed unreservedly by an equally incompetent government – basically, as they demonstrate daily, they can and will, do what they want.
