M60 slip roads from junctions 1 to 4 – Carriageway surfacing work

by Lib Dem team on 24 October, 2019

From Highways England:

This email is to inform you of carriageway surfacing work due to take place on the M60 slip roads from junctions 1 to 4. The work will include replacement of road markings and traffic sensor cables. Our aim is to improve the journeys for our customers. To minimise disruption, we also plan to carry out investigation work at the same time. The result of the investigating work will help feed into the design of replacing the safety barrier in the future.

Work is due to start on or shortly after 1 November 2019 for approximately four weeks. This will take place between the hours of 9pm and 5am, Monday to Friday.

For safety purposes, closures to the slips at each junction is required. This will be in place during the dates and times stated above. Full closures on the M60 between junctions 4 and 5 clockwise are also required from 11 to 15 November 2019. Localised signed diversion routes will be in place.

Whilst we always aim to work to the programme, unforeseen circumstances may mean slight changes occur at short notice. Every effort will be made to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.  However, these works will inevitably generate some noise and disruption and we’d like to apologise in advance for any disturbance.

  1. Maybe they will repair the lights on the slip road coming from Stockport onto Kingsway. They haven’t worked for years!
