Good progress is being made with the new sports area at Gatley Recreation Ground.

“Earlier this year we consulted residents, schools and youth groups on the design of the sports area,” said Cllr Keith Holloway. “The scheme being developed is the one supported by a clear majority – a great example of people power in action.”

Over the last few years the Lib Dem team have had the path relaid through the rec ground and got new play equipment installed. There is still more to do, and there looks to be a possibility of the Friends group being resurrected, unlocking further funding pots.
