The Lib Dem team would like to thank everyone who gave their time to help organise or attend Remembrance services across Stockport and beyond. It means so much to our communities and to members of our armed forces, veterans and their families.

I also appreciate the growing number of businesses and organisations which observe the two minutes silence on Armistice Day itself. For me, it’s the more significant commemoration than the largely religious services on Remembrance Sunday.
