Highways England are closing the M60 between J1 and J2 (the pyramid and Cheadle) over two weekends:

9pm Friday 12th March – 5am Monday 15th March 2021

9pm Friday 19th March – 5am Monday 22nd March 2021

Only the clockwise carriageway (from Stockport towards Cheadle) will be closed.

The closures are to allow the concrete under the carriageway to be repaired. If there’s bad weather, a further weekend closure might be needed.

Traffic will be diverted along the A560. Hopefully most drivers will choose to take a different route, but this will mean the road between the Pyramid and Roscoe’s roundabout is likely to be a good deal busier.
