A6 closed in Stockport from next week

A reminder part of the A6 will be closed next week.
Preparations for the closure were underway again today. From Monday 24th July 2017 essential repair works will take place on the bridge that runs under the A6 in Stockport town centre between Exchange Street (Garrick Theatre) and Heaton Lane.
This section of the road will be closed to traffic, in both directions, for up to 12 weeks. If you’re heading into Stockport next week we hope the map below may help.
Only one word for this – nightmare. The pyramid roundabout will be gridlocked and last time I looked, the Greek St diversion had a very deep hole in it and was closed!
Can’t see any mention of the St Mary’s Way diversion?
Parking nightmares on Stockport (and manchester) stop me going in. From a business perspective, it’s a bad do. I travel these routes between appointments. There is no co-ordination with road works etc.
