by Lib Dem team on 23 February, 2018

From our local police:
This week there have been 7 residential burglaries spread across the 4 areas.

Heald Green had one burglary overnight on Monday 19th where the offender forced open a garage window and stole items from both the garage and shed at this address. There was also an overnight attempted burglary on Thursday 22nd where offenders forced open a rear window and were shining torches inside. This woke the residents and the offenders made off in a white sprinter style van. We have also had some reports from residents of Heald Green this week of suspicious activity such as individuals appearing to loiter around cars, look down driveways, and try car door handles. This information is invaluable for helping us to identify areas where offenders may be active.

We would encourage residents of all areas to report any suspicious activity they see. For any reports like this, you would need to call 101 (free alternative 0161 872 5050) so that they can be recorded and investigated accordingly. This can be anonymous if you choose. Please be aware there can be a wait on this line, in the case of an emergency, please call 999. You can also make anonymous reports via CRIME STOPPERS, online or over the phone.
