Iain supports residents to get flooding fix

by Lib Dem Team on 23 September, 2016

Residents around the Wilmslow Road/Broadway area are demanding the Council and United Utilities sort out flooding problems in the area after the torrential rain a couple of weeks ago saw just the latest flooding of the road.

Iain is supporting residents calls, and has asked the council to come back with a clear plan as to how the situation is to be improved.

“We know there are no easy fixes, but residents should not have to put up with these floods every time we get a big downpour.” said Iain.

Any residents affected by flooding should contact Iain.

The junction of Longley Lane and Altrincham Road floods each time there is heavy rain. If the drains were cleaned out regularly this would help.
It is the drains on the Stockport side of the Road that are the problem.

Hi Denise. Agree absolutely about the problem. The whole road is in Manchester, not Stockport, and we have asked Manchester Council to attend to it.
