Thursday 12th January 2017

A week today the Lib Dems will be proposing a motion at Stockport Full Council to withdraw from the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework.

We believe an alternative plan can be devised which pays more attention to the views of residents and delivers the homes we need with much less impact on our green spaces. We’re hoping the other parties will support us.

Greater Manchester Lib Dem Mayoral candidate Jane Brophy is supporting the proposal. You can sign Jane’s petition to Save the Greenbelt here.
You can find more information here. – we’d be interested in people’s views and happy to answer any questions.

This is a recipe for flooding. Better start working on the infrastructure before the building begins.

Is there plans to build on the fields at abney hall Cheadle anyone aware of? Sincerely hope not me and a few hundred park users will protest any building on these fields
